What staying here is actually like

Elviria is the part of Marbella that still feels like the coast rather than a resort. The sand is wide enough that August does not feel crowded, and the beach restaurants are the kind people plan a day around rather than tolerate.

It is twenty minutes to Marbella and ten to Fuengirola, so you are choosing the beach over the town. Families take that trade happily. Groups who want to be out every night usually do not.

The house we have here

One, and it is the reason to look at the area at all. Villa Marea is beachfront, six bedrooms, sleeping twelve, on an 820 square metre plot with a heated pool. Frontline houses of that size rarely come up this close to Marbella, and when they do they are usually already committed for the summer.

Because there is one house rather than a choice of five, Elviria dates are either open or they are not. We will tell you which within the hour.

Who it suits

Families with children, where the beach does the work. Larger groups who want the sea on the doorstep and will drive in for dinner.

If you want to be closer to Marbella while keeping the quiet, Los Monteros and Río Real are the two to compare.
